About Comrex

Comrex designs and builds equipment that uses the most advanced available technology to connect broadcasters with their audiences. We strive to build reliable, user-friendly tools that engineers can trust to work, even during complicated broadcasts. Our goal is to make it easy for broadcasters to create the programming they care about. Since our incorporation in 1961, Comrex has been on the vanguard of technical development, making use of new and innovative technologies for radio and television well before they hit the mainstream. With the introduction of Opal, a novel IP audio gateway, and ACCESS NX, an innovative portable IP audio codec, we're pushing the boundaries of IP technology. Our ACCESS and BRIC-Link IP audio codecs make use of sophisticated audio transmission algorithms to ensure reliable broadcasts over challenging IP data networks. We've evolved our CrossLock tools to handle the unique demands of transmitting video, and developed LiveShot IP video technology. Throughout it all, we have continued to refine our telephone hybrids with products like VH2 and STAC VIP. Comrex is proud to say that we’re employee owned, and always have been. Because we have no outside ownership demands, we hold ourselves to a rigorous standard, both with regards to our equipment design and the support we provide for our products. To learn more, visit
